Vince Fossett Jr. is a native Californian. He began drumming at the age of 2. Vince's main influence when he started playing drums was his father Vince Fossett Sr., also a drummer, who has worked with such gospel artists as James Cleveland, Mattie Moss-Clark, Keith Pringle and Ricky Grundy as well as legendary R&B group Earth Wind and Fire, just to name a few. Vince grew up watching his father play in church and various concerts. From there he learned to develop his own style and musical ability. Vince began his professional career at the age of 12 playing with his junior high jazz combo, playing gigs around his home town. He joined his high school jazz band, which traveled around the country performing at various festivals. After graduating from high school, Vince enrolled in the Musician’s Institute where he received a degree. Vince has worked in LA at various night clubs, making television appearances, and doing studio sessions. Vince has worked with artists such as Natalie Cole, Sleepy Brown and smooth jazz recording artists Gayle Johnson, Norman Brown, Cherokee, N'Dambi, Ricky Fante, JD Webb and Mozella. Vince is the most recent member of The Steve Bardwil Band.
